Egypt
This exclusive Arabian-style seaside resort is nestled between the magnificent red mountains of the desert and the inland lakes with the crystal-clear waters of the Red Sea.
You’ll find numerous restaurants, outdoor cafés, nightclubs… In the central part of El Gouna, ‘Kafr El Gouna’, there’s a shopping arcade mainly featuring clothes and souvenir shops. Sun and wind all year round!
There are various activities to enjoy in El Gouna:
- Cable park
- Concerts
- Go-karting
- Cinema
- Golf
- Hiking in the mountains
- Great bars and restaurants
There are many kite and wing clubs in El Gouna:
El Gouna has a wind that is already side-shore from the morning onwards and is therefore more consistent than in Hurghada during the morning.
- The Kitepeople kite club is located near the Mövenpick and The Chedi hotels.
It’s a very friendly club, and the advantage here is that it’s not very crowded, as only guests from the Mövenpick Hotel kite here.
- The incredibly friendly Osmosis club is located at Paradisio. The wind is a bit patchy for beginners, but for lessons you’re taken straight out to the sandbank further out to sea by boat.
- The Duotone centre is located near Casacook.
- There are a number of other clubs that aren’t directly attached to a hotel but are easily accessible by tuk-tuk, such as KBC, Riah and Makani.
There’s also a water-ski club in El Gouna and several diving clubs.
