Tarifa has become known as 'the Wind Capital' for many different reasons. Its wind reliability probably tops them all. It is very difficult to have two consecutive non windy days, as the detailed comparative chart shows.
But there is more to a spot than its wind strength. Direction is important too. Expert surfers will tell you how much easier it is to get out and come back with side sure winds. Beginners will appreciate how it will eventually push you back to the beach even if much caution and following simple safety rules is vital. The beach too has its importance. Sandy beaches make the experience mush more relaxing, and for those radicals who look for rock beds to lift those swells, well we have that too, even if not sadly to Hawaiian standards. Waves are best during the equinoxes and in Canos de Meca with strong levante. Tarifa is generally a flat water resort with Levante.
Tarifa Hurricane is opened all winter season.
When the wind is blowing side off shore “ Poniente” the conditions are easier at Valdevaqueros, with on shore wind “Levante” it is better at the Hurricane center. So depending on the conditions the team of the center will also open the center at Valdevaqueros to offer the best choice to all your guests in the winter month in Tarifa.

- The ION CLUB has the latest Riggs from DUOTONE available. The current 2019 Fanatic boards complete the equipment.
- Windsurf Coaching: 6 days of individual training are on the program. At least 4 hours of training are offered daily. Tom will focus on the topics of control and maneuvers in strong winds.
- Video analysis: Of course, with the help of video analysis your driving technique is improved
- Photo shoot: Tom will also take pictures during the session. What is even better than surf photos of yourself
- Evening program 1x BBQ and shared dinners
