Cokes is known worldwide for its powerful hollow right-hand reef break that produces fast barrels and exciting walls, attracting surfers from around the globe. During the surf season, waves typically range between 3 to 8 feet, offering clean lines and excellent shape for thrilling rides.
The wave breaks over a shallow coral reef, creating perfect hollow sections that are ideal for intermediate to advanced surfers looking for performance surfing and barrel opportunities.
Cokes gets its unique name from the Coca-Cola factory located on Thulusdhoo Island, and over the years it has become one of the most recognizable surf breaks in North Malé Atoll.
One of the biggest advantages of surfing Cokes is its accessibility. Surfers staying on the island can simply walk across the bridge and paddle out directly from the island, making it one of the most convenient world-class surf spots in the Maldives.

On a good swell, rides at Chickens can stretch 400–500 meters, making it one of the longest waves in the Maldives.
