BN TRAVEL offers a self guided tour (GPS Oriented) from Fortalezza to Jericoacoara on a buggy along the beach and dunes. No guides, you have to follow your GPS to go to the right places.

Accomodations
Some rivers have a big delta and there are trails to be followed and places where a small ferry takes you across. These obstacles can be dangourous. So either a guide or a GPS is needed. A introductory GPS orientation class will be given before departure.
